hi @AndyS I had it now for the 2nd time that this happened to me.

Once is chance, twice may be something to investigate

Take look at this screen shot:
    IMG_0068.PNG

It is right after a page brake (20 posts in my settings). Right after the first new post on this page, appears an older one from the previous page

IIRC, than I had this twice now, on different devices, (Macbook and iPad)

@JonB said in Showing literal backticks in posts here:

Ohhhh! And where did you find that documented?!

Nowhere, was a mix of trial and error and somewhere on StackOverflow, which uses the same markup style, was mentioned that you can "stack" these sections.
Because three backticks are no longer limiting the code block, you can display them.
I think you can extend that infinitely. Eight, nine, ten or more "layers", while n - 1 times the character which sets up your section is not affected and is displayed properly.

    Edit:

From clicking the "Help" button, I found out that you can also display three backticks using a 4 - space - indentation (in this case it's always four spaces to define the code block).

    Hello ``` World

    written like:

    ____ Hello
    ____ ```
    ____ World

    Btw:
    Just look at this ;-)
    (Markup is fun :D)

    Hello World

I wanted to share this info should that be useful to someone in the future.

In my case I also workarounded this problem by using the copy of the repository on github.

I adapted my qmlcomponent file like so

    FetchContent_Declare( ds GIT_TAG qds-4.4 GIT_REPOSITORY https://github.com/qt-labs/qtquickdesigner-components.git )

But now that the server are up again I can also use the code.qt.io version.

    Kind regards,

    Laurent

This is quite a problem. The official site, for almost 5 years, installer won't work at all because of that error. It's really hard to believe actually.

@sierdzio Indeed, that must have been a funny coincidence, since there was an intense discussion going on just before that cutoff.

@SGaist We currently don't have exact schedule yet. However, I've heard that new features from the latest forum version are needed so the upgrade is inevitable.

    I will keep you posted!

@SGaist The database upgrade is performed on schedule because the old version becomes obsolete and will not receive any security update in the future

Revisiting and closing my own topics.
TWIMC: Issue was temporary, worked after a while. Gif file and/or upload was buggy.
